A Few Words from Jim

Posted in

I bring 30 years of tech entrepreneurship to this journal that Greg started 5 years ago. I have a lot of knowledge, wisdom, and guidance to share to the southern Oregon business community. Being an innovative entrepreneur also means I can be stubborn, tenacious, direct, and laser-focused at times and I can be a challenge to partner with. Just ask my wife. She and I run several businesses together.

I am not a journalist. I’m a small business owner with a quirky voice. I use it in my speaking and writing. It’s who I am. Telling your business story is personal to me. It’s raw and emotional.

Greg is both a seasoned speaker and writer/publisher and I am not. So we have clashed at times. But those clashes will make this journal better in the end. It already has.

I want the journal to be a “journal” and Greg wants the journal to be professional. We will get there, but it will take us a little time, to learn how to work together and how to create something we will both be proud of.
This month we focused on the Douglas County Snow Storm one year later. Check it out and let us know what you think.

Are you ready to run your business if you have no power and no internet?
