Turn Key RV Rentals Helps to Make Wishes Come True for Make-A-Wish® Oregon Kids

 Turn Key RV Rentals Donates a Motorhome or Travel Trailer Rental to Make-A-Wish® Oregon as Auction Proceeds Fund Wishes for Kids with Critical Illnesses!     

Eugene, OR – Turn Key RV Rentals, which offers fully-equipped trailers, motorhomes, and RVs that cater to individual needs, donates a motor home or travel trailer for Make-A-Wish® Oregon every year so more children with critical illnesses can have their wishes come true. 

When a motor home or a travel trailer is donated for the annual Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Oregon auction, the winning bidder’s dollar amount gets used to fund dream trips for kids facing critical illnesses.  Typically, the amount raised is upwards of $2,000.00 for each motor home or travel trailer. This latest Make-A-Wish® Oregon auction took place
October 13, 2019. 

Children and older kids that the Make-A-Wish® Oregon grants wishes for have the option of taking one of the RVs at Turn Key RV Rentals to transport them on their dream trips. Meanwhile, Turn Key RV Rentals offers to the person with the highest dollar amount at the Make-A-Wish® annual auction the chance to use one of their motor homes for three nights and 400 miles or a travel trailer for one week. 

“It is very satisfying to know that we are a part of a great program,” said Eleanor McGehee, President of Turn Key RV Rentals in Eugene.  “The very best scenario is when a child wants to take one of our RVs for their dream trip.” 

Thanks to the funds raised from the auctioned off motor home or travel trailer from Turn Key RV Rentals, one child, 4-year-old Magnolia, had her wish fulfilled — going to the San Diego Zoo. 

“It’s through the strength of our great community that we are able to grant the life-changing wishes of children, like Magnolia,” said Make-A-Wish Oregon PR and Communications Manager Kaitlyn Bolduc. “Organizations like Turn Key RV Rentals are a shining example of that. Their continued generosity helps us transform lives, and we are so grateful for their support of our mission.”

Magnolia’s mom was excited for her daughter to get this rare opportunity to have her dream come true. 

“Magnolia had such a fabulous time and every day since she has talked about giraffes, zebras, lions, elephants, and flying on an airplane,” she said. 

The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Oregon grants the wishes of local children with critical illnesses, ages 2 ½ through 18, living in Oregon and Southwest Washington.  Their goal this year has been to raise $600,000 to fund as many wishes as possible.
