TallWood Design Institute Open House and Emmerson Lab Public Opening
Thursday, October 10, 2019 – 1:30pm to 4:30pm
Please join TDI and other mass timber enthusiasts this fall at the recently completed A.A. “Red” Emmerson Advanced Wood Products Laboratory for an open house demonstration of the facility’s structural testing and advanced manufacturing capabilities, including live demos of our Biesse 5-axis CNC and Kuka 6-axis robot arm. In addition to demos of the facility’s capabilities, the event will include presentations and informational displays on CAD/CAM processes, mass timber installation, and timber research. The Open House will follow TDI’s annual Research Symposium, where various faculty will share an overview of their mass timber research and discuss future work and relevance to industry.
