Grant Applications Open to Support Oregon’s Technical Assistance Providers
Approximately $600,000 in grant funding is available to eligible organizations that
provide technical assistance to businesses owned by SEDIs and VSBs that are
seeking funding from select Business Oregon SSBCI programs.
Business Oregon has issued a Request for Grant Applications (RFGA) to eligible
organizations that provide legal, financial, and accounting technical assistance to
businesses owned by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals (SEDI)
and very small businesses (VSB) seeking to secure funding from the agency’s State
Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) early-stage, high-growth programs. These
include the Business Oregon Venture Fund Program, the Business Oregon Venture
Direct Program, and the Oregon Royalty Fund. Approximately $600,000 in grant
funding will be available for technical assistance grants through the SSBCI technical
assistance program.
The SSBCI program is structured to incentivize the deployment of capital to small
businesses across the state, particularly SEDI-owned businesses and VSBs. To
receive the maximum amount of SSBCI funding, Business Oregon must meet the
SEDI and VSB capital deployment targets established by the U.S. Treasury. The
technical assistance provider(s) selected through this RFGA will be a key partner in
meeting these goals and helping minimize capital access disparities between SEDI
and VSB firms and their counterparts.
This RFGA is expected to result in the selection of one or more technical assistance
providers. Organizations selected as SSBCI technical assistance providers may
receive funding through July 31, 2027, pending their ability to meet benchmarks that
align with the program’s objectives and maximize the state’s allocation of SSBCI
funds. The grant range under this RFGA is dependent on the number of awardees and
the duration of the contracts.
Business Oregon welcomes applications from eligible organizations who exhibit
alignment with the parameters, goals, and values of the program. Applications are
due by 11:59 pm PST on Monday, November 10, 2024. Late submissions will not be
accepted.

Oregon’s website at www.oregon.gov/biz.
